Introduction

Gentlemen,


Welcome to the Buddy System Podcast Network.



We are Teddy and Luis, and we hope to be starting something that we consider to be simple, yet life-changing.  Our general premise here is to provide an arena for men to engage the most trivial, hilarious, and profound aspects of manhood.  We find ourselves in a new era of opportunity here in the 21st century, a time where the old-fashioned and traditional view of a man - Provider, Strong, Masculine, Hard-Working, In Control, Shows Little Emotion - has been exposed as the Emperor who has no clothes.




Being honest with ourselves about our insecurities and difficulties can feel impossible under the weight of the expectations of being a man, and it begs the question:

How can we figure out what to do when so many of us were taught to stay quiet about our thoughts, emotions, and questions that we have as men? 


I think we have a solution:




Just Make it OK to talk about it.

What Luis and I have found is that through all of life's major moments and decisions, we were there for each other - sometimes before, during, and after. We established the art of raw dialogue with another human being who had the courage to be honest, open, and vulnerable with his perspective, and that kept us from straying too far into the dark paths of life.  Furthermore, our bond helped to shape us into the men we are today for our families, our friends, and ourselves.


What we would like to do is to expand this friendship with all of you through the creation of our Podcast as well as a network of men who are willing to learn from each other. 


We can share thoughts, ideas, and companionship with others. We can begin to think more deeply, exchange resources for navigating through life, and establish a brotherhood meant for good.  Stay tuned:  This is just the beginning...
